I've been trying to decide whether I would renew my contract with AT&T this summer for the next iPhone or move on to a good service provider and test out an Android-based Google phone. After today, it looks like it's going to be pretty tough for Google to match the iPhone 4... at least not soon.
Best announcements:
- HD video recording! 720p resolution with an iMovie application. Wow.
- Video phone calls - FaceTime - We've been waiting for this for a long time and I was expecting it on the iPad. I guess we'll see it on the next model of the iPad.
Overlooked announcements:
- Netflix on iPhone! This isn't really a revolution, but I absolutely love the idea of being able to stream movies to my phone.
- LED flash - sometimes this is just enough to make the difference between a mediocre picture and a black smear.
Weak announcements:
- White and black colors available - where's my iPod Nano rainbow selection?
- Video conferencing will only be available by WiFi during 2010... lame. And it reinforces the fact that the iPad SHOULD have video conferencing too.
It looks like on June 24 I'll be waiting in line at the Apple Store... again.
